Terms of Use

By accessing or using the Service — including adding the EdenPass bot to a Discord server, using the EdenPass web dashboard, or interacting with the bot — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation (such as a Discord server), you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

EdenPass provides the following features:

• VRChat Account Linking — Connecting a Discord account to a VRChat account within a Discord server to unlock role-based permissions.
• Age Verification Transfer — Checking your VRChat age-verification status (via The Eden Apis) and granting corresponding Discord roles.
• Cross-Server Verification — Allowing servers that partner with EdenPass to recognise your verified status without requiring you to repeat the process.
• Web Dashboard — A management interface for Discord server administrators to configure the bot, review activity logs, and customise messages.

The Service is provided free of charge for standard use. Premium features, if offered, may be subject to separate terms.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using EdenPass, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Users between 13 and 18 (or the applicable age of majority in their jurisdiction) should have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

You must also comply with Discord's Terms of Service and VRChat's Terms of Service when using EdenPass, as those platforms are integral to the operation of our Service.

EdenPass does not maintain standalone user accounts. Authentication is performed exclusively through Discord OAuth2. By authenticating, you grant EdenPass permission to:

• Read your Discord User ID
• Retrieve the list of Discord servers you belong to (to populate the dashboard)

You are responsible for the security of your Discord account. We are not liable for any unauthorised access to your data resulting from a compromised Discord account.

Your dashboard session is maintained via an HTTP-only signed cookie that expires after 7 days. You may end your session at any time by clicking “Log out” in the navigation bar.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information during the account linking or verification process
• Attempt to circumvent or manipulate the age-verification system
• Link an account that you do not own or are not authorised to link
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or data of the Service without our prior written consent
• Interfere with the operation of the Service, its APIs, or underlying infrastructure
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users through the mechanisms provided by EdenPass
• Exploit any vulnerability in the Service; if you discover a security issue, please report it responsibly to lolmaxz@theedenapis.com

Violation of these acceptable use rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the Service.

Discord server administrators who add EdenPass to their servers take on additional responsibilities:

• You are responsible for ensuring that your use of EdenPass complies with applicable laws, including but not limited to data protection regulations, and with Discord's Platform Policies.
• You must inform your server members that their Discord User IDs and VRChat data will be processed by EdenPass when they interact with the verification system.
• You must not configure EdenPass to collect or process data in a manner that exceeds what is necessary for the Service's intended features.
• You are responsible for the custom messages, role assignments, and settings you configure within the dashboard.
• The option to retain data from members who have left the server (the “Use Data From Left Members” feature) must be used responsibly and in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.

The EdenPass name, logo, web dashboard, bot, and all associated software, documentation, and content are the property of The Eden Apis and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. This licence does not include the right to reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, or commercially exploit any part of the Service.

The Service relies on third-party platforms including Discord and VRChat. We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or policies of these third-party services. Changes to Discord's or VRChat's APIs or terms may affect the functionality of EdenPass, and we reserve the right to update the Service accordingly.

Links to external websites from the EdenPass dashboard or documentation are provided for convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement.

We strive to maintain the Service in a reliable and operational state, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or factors outside our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, without liability to you.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be secure, free of errors or viruses, or that any defects will be corrected.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Eden Apis and its operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain types of damages, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

We are not responsible for any data loss, role assignment errors, or community disputes arising from the use of EdenPass.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms, without prior notice.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Server administrators may remove the bot from their server at any time. For data deletion requests following termination, refer to the Your Rights section of our Privacy Policy.

Upon termination, provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will remain in effect, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the effective date and version at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

Whenever these Terms are updated, Discord server owners who have EdenPass installed will be notified through one or more of: a blocking modal on the EdenPass dashboard, a Discord direct message from the bot, or a message in the server's system channel (with a ping) when DMs are unavailable. Acceptance is required via the dashboard before you may continue using the EdenPass dashboard and bot.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through direct communication.
